CREATIVE LEARNER

A good learner uses the different styles of studies and learning. He is a creative learner. He learns better in his preferable styles. He uses his own techniques in order to understand the rules better. A good learner is responsible in what he is doing, if he wants to learn a language, he will find out the opportunities to utilize the target language. He uses the language as often as possible so that he is able to master the language in a short time. It is believed that a person who learns a new language is able to use the language faster if he practice if frequently. He makes the maximum use of every opportunity he gets to listen and respond to the speech in the target language. Learners learn better if they practice what they had learnt in their daily life. That is why, if the teacher taught the pupils in class, he must relate the teaching strategies with the pupil's present situations.

INDIVIDUAL LEARNER DIFFERENCES

I started learning English when I start my secondary school in the early 1980s. In fact, my whole family does not have English background, but due to the awareness that English is important and has an advantages to secure better career in the future, I started to work hard to learn this language, to master as well as to develop my communicative skills. In the early stages, I found myself difficult to adjust and cope with my goal. As a student with no English basic surely I encountered many obctacle in acquiring this language. English was being spoken during class session, when we are outside or at home, mother tongue was my main languages. Lack of confidence, discouragement are part of the problem that has a great influence in acquiring and to have good mastery in English. I am sure that lack of confidence exists due to my limited mastery in English. When this happen, I become uncertain and these decrease my motivation. As a pure Dusun speaker, the assumption mostly on negative perspective, to state a few, people says English was a foreign language that has no advantage at all. These opinion surely a very discourage comments. Mastering the target language in the contexts of Malaysian students expecially in the rural area are hard due to the lack of experty and specialist to teach. As we have seen, language learning is affected by many factors, among these are the personal characteristics of the learner, the structure of the native and target languages, opportunities for instruction with speakers of the target language and access to correction and form focused instruction. It is clear that teacher do not have control over all these factores, however a better understanding of them will permit teachers and learners to make the most of the time they spend together in the twin processes of teaching and learning a second language

Avoid A Boring Holiday

School holidays has started two weeks ago, this holidays are the longest school break as students will only resume school on 5th January 2009! Two weeks had past yet couldn't decide what to do? Off course, If I have a lot of money to spent, I will take this chances to travel, what a pity! people says NO Money No Talk, It might be just wise for me and my love once to sit down and just spend the remaining days looking for an extra money! What's your plan guys and girls? may you people enjoy and off course has a story to tell when we meet on 5th Jan next year! wishing you all, Only the best.

Sometimes it's so easy for people to say LOVE to others. Definitely LOVE is such a wonderful word that lead a happy ending relationship between man and woman or in the family. How many siblings do you have? My mother happen to stay with me, she is old and could not make a living at her own anymore, as a son, my responsibility is to provide her with what she need, sent her to the hospital for medical checkup, fund her and ensure that she is free from any stresses due to an event that she was not suppose to know? Well, sometimes when my own financial decrease, it's the responsibilities of the others siblings to help and to support you, right? mean give a helping hand, or give money to your old mother, right?
